RESCUES AND RE-HOMERS

LOOKING TO GO HOME WITH YOU!

First Steps

  1. Prior to adopting a Rescue rabbit, an Adoption Request Form needs to be filled out. Please
E-mail us to get this Adoption Form to continue with adoption.

  2. An adoption application will be sent to you once we receive your request. Check your spam folder.

  3. Include in your email, your name, your phone number (this way we can contact you when we send you the application) and if you live far away. We can try to help you find that perfect bunny. If you live far away, and are accepted to adopt, you can likely pick up your bunny on your appointment day.

  4. If a bunny is not showing a bio, that means they are not ready yet, and still in the intake process. You still can adopt them. They just won’t be ready to leave the rescue for 3-7 days.

  5. If a bunny is in pending status, they are already going through an adoption process. If a bunny is on hold, it could be it is showing signs of a sickness, is hurt or has babies, or is on old for a variety of other reasons. You can still adopt but they will have to stay here until we think they are ready for adoption.

All bunnies that leave here do have a 7-day guarantee bunniesrusrabbitry@hotmail.com

All adoption fees run from $30-$160 depending on age, breed and care of the bunny. All fees include starter food, hay and litter and a folder filled with information about your bunny.

We are working hard on getting most of the bunnies spayed/neutered. This is so exciting to add to our new adventure. Getting Bunnies spayed/neutered is a very high cost. Because of this, our adoption prices will also be going up. But this will help you have a better potty trained, happier, and healthier bunny. It depends on what the re-homer pays when dropping a bunny off on what a cost will be for a bunny. Please bear with us if you see adoption prices go up.

Thank you for supporting Bunnies-R-Us Rescue.

    Weight: 5.8

Betty is very shy and just in her own little world. She doesn’t like to be picked up much, she is not huge on playing she is just lazy and very happy being that way. She would do fine in a quieter home where she can just be herself and sleep all day

  • Black Roast ($50)

    Holland lop male, rescue

    BD: 12-11-19

    Weight: 3.2

Roast is a very special boy, his picture does not do him justice at all. He is so cute, a cuteness overload. His personality matches him. He is super friendly, he loves to play and acts like he is still 3 years old. Full of spunk. He was a breeder and they were going to cull him because he can’t produce anymore. He is too old to be neutered and too old to even produce so he is a perfectly perfect little boy. He is little pure breed and was loved. He loves to be with girl bunnies and is a gentle man with them. He would do great in any home who wants to love him forever.

She will let you cuddle her, she loves to play, she will come up to the cage for pets and starting to use the litter box. She just wants some one to love her and not throw her on to the streets. She would be great in any home

Zoloft is more picker on how you put things in her cage. She is more on the lazy side but she does take treats and food out of your hand like it’s her last. We are working on this. She loves to be held but it takes a little to get her out of the cage. She had an awful life and a terrible diet so she loves to eat. Weight: 2.4

Eclipse’s owner had no clue how to care for this very, high energy boy. She did what she could but he needs to be worked with to help calm him down. The owner ended going to prison so the sister had only a few seconds to grab things and so she grabbed Eclipse and also didn’t know what to do with him so he was brought here. He free roamed and is litter trained, but his high energy and age he learned not to be held and do what he wants. He needs a smaller space and worked with. He is super friendly and loves to play. He would do better in a home who has had bunnies prior.

  • Dayzee (Day-Day) $40

    Netherland Dwarf, female

    BD: 8-8-20

    Weight: 2.7

dayday has a very strong personality. She was a very sweet girl that lived with a family who did daycare. She loved the attention and is use to be picking up. But one day this changed. She started to lunge at the kids, and even run after them and try to attack their feet. The family had no clue what changed her into a very sweet girl to one that is aggressive. I am thinking she could use a mate. Because of her size and age I’m not sure if spaying her would help. She would need to be worked with and let her know, her behaviors are not okay. Even though she was great with kids, unsure at this point if she would be. She needs to go to a home who knows how to work with bunnies.

Californians/New Zeelands

  • Tyrenna ($50)

    New Zeeland, female, rescue

    BD: 8-11-23

    Weight: 7.3

Tyrenna is very shy and has a hard time trusting humans, she came in from animal control who found her. She is so sweet but it takes time to get there. She still needs a lot of work on trusting but she seems super smart. She was very sloppy on using the litter pan and when I showed her what it was for, she is picking it up fast. She needs to go to home who has bunnies and has time to work with her. She would be a great free roamer and one who can sit with her and love her forever.

Dutch

  • Bun-Bun ($80)

    Dutch, Neutered, Male

    BD: 10-31-21

    Weight: 4.6

Poor Bun-Bun has gone through so much, he was one of my first rescues here, had a home for a few years and since he has been back, he is not the bunny I knew and loved. He was abused at one point and he is having troubles trusting anyone. He has been adopted a few times to try and bond him, but he is aggressive with other bunnies and is showing aggressiveness towards the owners. He really just needs someone who can work with him, for he can be so sweet, he just is so afraid of getting hurt and abused again. He needs to go to a home that has experience and has no other animals.

    BD: 1-5-24

    Weight: 4.4

Chloe is a little shy and sometimes Timid when she first meets you. She will go into a corner when she sees you. We just got her spayed and she is doing better but she was very bored and getting into things she should not. When Hollander came in we put Chloe with him. Her hold time is getting better, she is starting to be sweet, like she was when she was younger. She really just needed a partner. I would highly suggest keeping Chloe and Hollander together. The two just match up nicely and it is helping both grow into loveable bunnies.

    Chloe is bonded with Hollander

  • Hollander ($100)

    Dutch, Neutered, Male

    BD: 11-30-23

    Weight: 5.1

Hollander is super sweet, but very shy and timid. He came in so scared he was always hiding in a corner. But when I got him he would let me hold him for a long time. He always looked depressed so I put him with Chloe and now the two are shining. They are both using the litter pan, and do really good together. BD: 7-12-24

    Weight: 5.0

Zhuri is so sweet, once you hold her she melts into your arms. She has had a very rough life and lived in the wild since she was born. She has never delt with humans and is very scared and still learning trust. She will let you hold her and pet her, she is just scared she will hide or shake when you do. Weight: 9.5

Velvet was a rescue and then a re-homer. The family wanted so badly to help her out, but as time went on, she just wasn't a good fit in their home. She is super sweet. She will come right up to you for kisses once she knows you. She will try to get out of her cage when she can because she loves to run and play. She would do great as a free roamer once she gets spayed or better at using the litter pan. She will let you catch her and is just a good girl. She is smart and does respond to your commands. She would do great with other animals and in any home. I call her my cat, since when she free roams she acts like one
